How To Use Leftovers As Anti Aging Treatments

Did you know that leftovers can work just as well as expensive treatments in keeping the skin healthy, young and supple? Avoid wasting money by using leftovers as anti aging treatments.

Here are some tips for you:

1. Leftover pumpkin puree

If you have made too much pumpkin puree and it has been sitting in your fridge, you can try using it as a facial and body mask. Pumpkin actually contains exfoliating enzymes that can help get rid of dead skin cells. In fact, it is a better substitute for your rough and abrasive exfoliating scrubs.

The exfoliating enzymes in pumpkin can better dissolve the compound that binds dead cells to the surface of your dermis.  Because it works better in getting rid of dead skin cells, you no longer have to use strong abrasive treatments to make your skin feel softer.

2. Leftover yogurt

Yogurt has wonderful hydrating properties that can properly nourish and moisturize the dermis.  It can hydrate even the innermost layers of the skin.  It also contains lactic acid.

This is the acid that can facilitate a healthy renewal of skin tissues.  It gets rid of dead and damaged skin tissues so that your integumentary system’s natural healing properties can replace those damaged skin tissues with newer and younger ones.

3. Fruits that are starting to rot

Do you have over-ripened fruits that are starting to rot in some parts?  You can still try to salvage the good parts.  For oranges, lemons and other citrus fruits, remove the peel and set them aside. Remove the parts of the orange that are starting to rot.

Let the peel of citrus fruits dry under the sun for up to 24 hours. After 24 hours, grind citrus peel using your food processor. Use this as an exfoliating treatment. It can instantly make your skin brighter and more radiant.

Mix ground citrus peel with the citrus juice from the fruit parts you have saved. You can also mix it with your leftover yogurt.

Don’t forget to apply your anti aging moisturizer after using these treatments.  It is imperative that you give your skin a product that contains natural ingredients like CynergyTK and Phytessence Wakame.

CynergyTK is an ingredient that has been extracted from the wool of sheep. It is one of the most ideal sources of functional keratin, the protein needed by the integumentary system for the production of collagen.

Phytessence Wakame is a type of Japanese sea kelp that can help get rid of the enzymes that break down hyaluronic acid. This acid is essential for the moisturization of collagen fibers.
