How to decide the color of your sunglasses?

The color of sunglasses plays a great important role in showing the personality of the wearer. A pair of suitable sunglasses will make you look like a celebrity. A lot of people just follow the celebrities’ style on TV or magazines. As a matter of fact, besides the style, the quality of the sunglasses is rather important as well, especially the lenses. If you are not clear about the methods to choose the color of sunglasses, it is necessary to read this article carefully and patiently.

Gray lenses

Gray lenses can absorb infrared rays and up to 98% ultra violet sun rays. The greatest benefit of gray lenses is that they will not change the object’s original color. What’s more, they can decrease the light intensity effectively.

Green lenses

The green lenses are widely seen in Ray-Ban sunwears. The same as the gray lenses, they can effectively absorb infrared rays and 99% ultra violet rays. But they can lead to vision distortion for some objects. Moreover, the effect of blocking the sun rays is poorer than the gray lenses. But the green lenses are good protective lenses as well.

Brown lenses

They can absorb all the ultra violet. The infrared rays and about 83% visible light can go through the lenses. The greatest feature is that they can absorb most of the blue light. Because when the sun rays get through the atmosphere, they are mainly in blue. When the brown lenses absorb the blue light, the wearers can see the scenery clearer. Therefore, they are often used as filtering sunglasses.

Pink lenses

It is a common color which can absorb almost 95% ultra violet sun rays and some visible light in short wavelength. In fact, the function of them is just similar with the clear lenses. That is to say, the pink lenses are almost like the ordinary eyeglasses lenses. But to some people, there is still considerable psychological benefit because they are comfortable to wear and look good.

Purple lenses

This kind of lenses can absorb the similar sun rays with the green lenses. However, they can absorb more blue light. The brown lenses more easily lead to vision distortion comparing with gray and green lenses. Therefore, a lot of people are not satisfied with them. But the purple lenses offer another color option and can avoid the blue halo and great clearer vision field.
